Hve you gone to the philippines with a sword on check-in baggage?

hello, for those who already did let's say you're a martial arts instructor and you want to go to the philippines (for business sake) and you need to bring a sword or a katana..Is it allowed to be checked-in without problems or will that affect or delay your flight? coz I've seen the site about restricted articles and prohibited items and it says I cannot put it in carry-on but on check-in I can.here's the site for US:TSA: What To Know Before You Go here's the site for the philippine's air travel:http://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en_...ohibiteditemsI really don't know about the philippine site because the way they put the info on their website kinda confuses me coz I'm thinking about they way they put the info; can I put it in check-in or not???also if u could also help me on checking-in-101and how to do it.thank you.P.S>I'm tired of people asking me why would I bring a sword.it's my will.please answer meee... T-Talso I found a new site,Philippine Airlines and then search on baggage then security removed items.it says I can't bring them on carry-on but on check-in I can.what should I do??? ------
