Does a Legal Resident need a re-entry permit if she is gone for more than 5 months?

My mom is in the Philippines right now and she is staying there for 5 months to take care of our business. She is a green card holder, does she needs to call the US embassy in Manila regarding her stay there? need more info if she needs to get a re-entry permit ------

It's no big deal to double check with the US embassy, I would to be on the safe side. ------
