We're going to Puerto Galera this April, any suggestions?

Hello. We're going to Puerto Galera (Mindoro, Phil) on April 20,2008. Pls help us cause we're really in a tight budget. there are 4 of us and our budget is Php3,000 for 3d2n (inclusive of EVERYTHING). any suggestions onlace to stay in white beach that fits the budgetthings to dowhere to eatsouvenirs if anyyour help is very much appreciated! thanks! ------

Php3k for 3d2n?????????- you can look around for people offering rooms in their houses for cheap accommodations called homestay.-Snorkeling, shopping for souvenirs, visit Tamaraw falls nearby, SCUBA Diving, Banana boat and other water sports and activities-many bars and restaurants dot the area so dining and drinking is not hard.- No ATMs on White Beach so bring extra money (just in case your 3k is not enough). On Sabang Beach, there's Rural Bank of Puerto Galera with ENCASH ATM but be aware of ATM Charges and Convenience Fees- last but not the least dont forget your swimwear...hehe ------

I was there this last February and since you're gonna be there on PEAK SEASON time, the only way I can imagine any 4 people going to Puerto Galera for 3 days and 2 nights on 3,000 pesos is if they...1. Bring their own food (which is at LEAST 60 pesos per person per meal if eaten on a PG budget restaurant)2. Row their own boat from Batangas to Puerto Galera (it's a 150 peso boat ride per person ONE WAY, which does not include the terminal fee of 100 each and the BS"environmental protection"fee--- 50 pesos each?).3. Bring their own tents and sleeping bags (the cheapest ones that I've heard of that can accomodate 4 people is a shared bathroom and toilet 2 bedroom without airconditioning for 600 a day... and that ain't even peak season prices yet!)4. Walk or ride a bike from your home to the Batangas pier (count on a hundred+ bucks at least for the bus... that is if you don't live in Batangas already)5. Forget about doing any of the fun activities that can be availed of there like snorkeling, diving, island hopping, banana boat riding (for a 3,000 peso, 4 people trip for 3 nights... what did you expect?)My advice is bring more money... at least 3 times as much as your original budget. ------

3K fro 3d2n is impossible, unless you find someone to accommodate you for free. It's peak season and the rates are also on peak. You may just camp at the beach plus don't forget to bring food, LOL.With 3k, I think all you can do is go there and enjoy the white sand and clear blue water. Picture! Picture!Oh, you can buy anklets worth 10 php each. ------
