I really want to buy a great travel book on teh philippines. The reviews for the Rough Guide and Lonely Planet books were awful. So, which company makes the best travel book for the philippines? ------

I'll agree that the Lonely Planet book is pretty good.I have a copy, and it has very good information. Now, it's not a book you just sit down to read for pleasure, but if you're wanting to get ideas of things to do, approximate prices, what kind of transportation is available, and a short review of many things, then it is a great book. ------
