because since the Philippines was discovered by the Spaniards,Mindanao is already part of the country. The Philippines is composed of Luzon, Visayaz and Mindanao.A whole body composed of THREE MAJOR PARTS! Mindanao is part of the Philippines. Why would you cut a part of a body? History shows the important contributions of Mindanao to the story of the Philippines.Our ancestors were all muslims, the Spaniards just converted our ancestors to Christianism, that's why we dominate most of the religion of the country.We all have our beliefs and faiths, we have to respect that to have a peaceful world.JUST R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!!! ------

So let's turn this around... If Mindanao was a separate country, would YOU be willing to give independence to half of Mindanao if another group of people wanted it?? ------

Mindanao has always been part of the Philippines and should remain so.There is no reason why two differing religious beliefs cannot co-exist.Just remember not all of Mindanao is Muslim so what would you do with these non-Muslims grant them independance from Mindanao. ------

I must ask you this.Philippines is mostly catholic, the muslims migrate there for some strange reason knowing they will be a minority.Now you ask them to give it up for you in the form of Independence.Where is the logic in that?I am surprised you would bring such shame upon yourself by even asking this question. ------
