Default Why is it better going to Mindanao Island than visiting Boracay?

The fresh fruits, more sandy beaches to choose from, cheap inexpensive accomodations, the people. ------

There's more culture on Mindanoa, Borocays o.k if you only want to sit on a beach. The only worry in Mindanoa is security, that said I'm English and stayed for 3 weeks and felt perfectly safe. Personaly I would choose Cebu and Bohol over both. ------

If you're a foreigner I would suggest Boracay because its all in one island, its more friendly to tourist, easy to get there, accomodation varries from five-star to budget, so you can always find a place that is perfect for your budget. I guarantee that the sand is so fine and white, there's a lot of water activities, you'll never get bored, or you can just simply relax the whole day and be amazed with the view, if you want to party you can until dawn.....But if you're a local or simply adventurous, Mindanao has more to offer, more culture, more places of interest, more fresh fruits and other foods.... ------

The diversity, culture, and people what makes Mindanao amazing. What ever you heard on the news about Mindanao is totally wrong and nonsense. Just go and see for yourself.Boracay overrated and a total mess. ------

Sorry to disagree, but I would go for Boracay as a holiday resort.Cebu and Bohol are good holiday places, as is Northern Luzon. ------

If you like taking your life into your own hands, go to Mindanao, otherwise stick with Cebu or Borocay ------

yes ,it is right, Mindanao is the FOOD BASKET, without us , the phil will be starving , hehehhe. Just avoid places of conflict, i suggest u visit cagayan de oro ( river rafting ) , bukidnon, siargao, gensan and davao. Boracay is getting polluted nowadays =) ------
