Where to stay in Manila for a young couple?

Hello, me and gf are going to be visiting Manila in December. Looking to stay somewhere where a young couple could have a good time with locals. Not interested in titi-bars or whatever you call them. Any advice? Does Makati actually have a nighlife that does not include tit-bars? ------

Yeah mate there are plenty of good places in Manila. Greentbelt Mall has alot of hip night clubs,bars and restaraunts that are frequented by locals,celebrities and foreigners. Plenty happening in Makati. ------
