Go to the Agora Terminal in Cagayan de Oro City ride a bus (bachelor express or rural transit) going to Butuan and tell the conductor that you are going off Balingaoan for Camiguin Island (cost of Bus more or less 100 pesos with travel time of 1-2hours) then ride a"sikad"a makeshift bicycle to send you to the port going to Camiguin Island. Be generous and pay 50 pesos for the effort ok?There are probably 2 scheduled boats that go to Camiguin Island. It is important for you to go there on time otherwise you will be left behind. The time of departures are around 8-9am. The travel time is 1 hour cost of ticket is 100-120 pesos.Where are you going to stay? I sugget go to Paras Beach Resort. You can surf and find out more about it.I suggest that you also talk to fellow passengers going to Camiguin to share the transportation that shall take you to your destinations because they tend to charge more, around 1,000 for 1 jeepney which is okay if you are a group but for a single person that is quite expensive.Goodluck...Camiguin is beautiful ask around about how to visit the waterfalls there, which I happen to forget the name.Have a nice stay there. ------

You could negotiate with a taxi driver at the Airport to take you directly to Balingoan. No more than P1,600, most drivers do it for P1,500. It will take 90 minutes at least from the airport to Balingoan. There are several boats going to Camiguin in one day, the times are:Boat. Dept time.Yuhum 5:45 AMRoyal Princes 6:45 AMKalinaw 8:30 AMSuper Shuttle Ferry 9:00 AMRoyal Princes 9:45 AMYuhum 12:30 PMKalinaw 2:15 PMSuper Shuttle Ferry 2:50 PMRoyal Princess 3:30 PMFor accommodation, it depends on what your budget is. I usually stay with a local family i've known for years but this time i stayed at the Paras Resort, the food is great, the staff are super friendly and the room are very clean. I paid P3600 for two nights stay. There are cheaper places to stay such as Secret Cove Resort, i can't remember the other cheap places. Best bet is to ask a van driver to take you one of the resorts if you tell them your budget, most van drivers in Camiguin are friendly and knowledgeable, i always use the same guy to take me around. Some resort websites below.........http://www.secretcovecamiguin.net/ht...modations.html ------

You have 3 options:Option 1From the airport, you can hire a taxi to bring you to Balingoan Wharf around 82 kilometers east of Cagayan de Oro. It will cost you around 2,000 or 2,500 Pesos going there.Option 2Go to the Agora Bus Terminal and take a bus going to Butuan or Gingoog City. These buses passby Balingoan Wharf. Detailed information regarding bus trip is in my website (fares, where to get down, bus and ferry schedules, etc..).Option 3Go to Agora Bus Terminal and hire an entire van which will cost less than 2,000 Pesos going to Balingoan Wharf. The vans are located near the bus terminal Police Station.Check my website athttp://cdoguide.comClick on CDO to Camiguin sectionIt has ferry schedules from Balingoan to Camiguin and other related information. Ferry schedules I posted are as of April 2007. I was able to visit the wharf and update my info. ------
