Aside from lounging at the beach, snorkeling, dolphin watching, what are other things you can do specially at night time at Alona Beach. We don't want to go to the city to check out the nightlife there. What are the carenderia, restaurants, bars shops you recommend that we should check out?FYI, we would go for a city tour, hence, my statement above about not going to the city.Thanks.Yeah, by city I mean Tagbilaran
I'm booked at a resort in Alona Beach but thanks anyways for the recommendation.'will keep it in mind for future reference. ------ |

What city?! Alona beach is... alone. I guess the nearest city would be Tagbilaran, but anyway.Alona is not hugely developed. It's a beach with a bunch of cheap hotels, dive shops, and bars. Beyond what you mentioned, there isn't much else. There isn't even a proper road or path along the beach, which means negotiating some boundaries between hotels at night can be tricky. However, that's not to say it's a bad place. It's very relaxing and there's plenty of variety of food, drink, and activities. Enjoy yourself; it's worth the trip. ------

I've been to Panglao Island last year but not in Alona Beach. We stayed at Dumulaun Beach resort. Aside from snorkeling, swimming, dolphin watching we went island hopping too at Balicasag Island. It's too nice to go snorkeling back there or you can try scuba diving too. At Dumaluan Beach Resort you can eat or drink at their restaurant by the beach or play billards, volleyball or tennis table. Then they also have a nice swimming pool. We never regret on going there. There's no night life or discos back there. The well-known beaches are far away from the main city in Tagbilaran. It means the only bar shops or restaurants can only be found within the beach resort's area.It was so great to be one of the guests of that resort. Their resort's accomodations are so nice, comfy and affordable. Staying in Dumaluan Beach Resort is never a regret. It's really worth it!Just enjoy the beach life.DUMALUAN BEACH RESORT:Bolod, Panglao, BoholTel. No. (038) 502-9092Tele fax no. (038) 502-9081Check out their website:Dumaluan Beach Resort ------
