what are the best hotels in Bohol, Philippines?

If you want to stay in the city of Tagbilaran, go for Bohol Tropics or Metrocenter. If I were you, though, I would just rent a cottage on the beach in Panglao. Your choice ranges with how much you're willing to pay. Try Alona Tropical and the other resorts near there. ------

The Pangalao Nature resort in Taglibiran is great but can be pricey, check with a travel agent. Best resort in Bohol in my opinion. Go for the River cruise and swim in the waterfalls... Go out to the night clubs, see the town and cathedral. Plenty to do, is the journey not the destination. ------

I've been to Bohol many times and I love it there. If you are staying in Tagbilaran (the main city), stay in Metro Centre Hotel - prices are so reasonable and rooms are great. They have a swimming pool too.If you are looking for a front beach resort, it's really wonderful in Alona Tropical Beach Resort in Panglao (food there is great too and big servings), do not get confused with Alona Kew Whitesand Beach Resort - it's the resort nearby it and not as good. The price at Alona Tropical is very very reasonable. It's the greatest place at the least price, you have to book at least a day or two in advance coz they are always full. The beaches in Panglao island are the best!They have a whole island tour, you get to see a neat cave with clear water inside, bamboo hanging bridge, Tinago falls (looked like a faucet to me.lol), the chocolate hills like you said, man made forest, the statue of sanduguan, the oldest church, floating restaurant and of course THE TARSIERS!!!Have fun!!! ------
